A student initiative at FH Aachen
We are ATHMO – a student team driven by passion and ambition, working towards the future of aerospace technology. Our enthusiasm for science and space exploration motivates us to develop innovative ideas and tackle challenges with determination.
Euroc 24
As the first intercontinental team, we participated in the European Rocketry Challenge 2024 in collaboration with students from RMIT in Melbourne, Australia.
Our launch vehicle, named "Ratatoskr" was designed to reach speeds of up to Mach 1.7 The mission objective was to deploy a specially developed payload at an altitude of approximately 9 km.
Our team developed the necessary deployment mechanism and focused on creating flight electronics for use in a PocketSat as well as a main onboard computer.
